What you will be doing in this role In this Enrolled Nurse role on the Sharpe Ward, as either full time or part time, you’ll be making a real difference to patients in a welcoming 40-bed unit specialising in orthopaedics. This ward is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, including managing acute conditions like fractures, tendon and ligament injuries, and supporting patients through joint replacement surgeries. Working alongside a skilled and caring team, you’ll be guided by a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, personalised care. You’ll support patients through every step of their recovery, ensuring their comfort and well-being, while helping them regain mobility and independence. Your role will involve maintaining clear, accurate patient records and identifying any risks to ensure safe, quality care. You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team, working closely with a range of healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for each patient. Who we’re looking for A registered Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA and at least 12 months’ experience in acute care, ideally within orthopaedics. A compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing high-quality care and supporting patients through their recovery. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. A collaborative team player, building strong relationships with colleagues and working together to achieve the best outcomes for patients. Proficient in using basic computer systems and health information platforms to maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records. Proactive in identifying risks and taking action to ensure patient safety in a fast-paced environment. A lifelong learner, eager to develop professionally and incorporate evidence-based practices into care.
